33 weeks

I can't believe it!  In less than two months Baby Brock will be here!  Before I was pregnant I was obsessed with wanting to know, "what it is like", and I can honestly say, knock on wood, that it has been easier than I expected.  Sure there are the aches and pains that come with your body being stretched and transformed, but that was expected.  And of course watching myself balloon, is kinda weird, but the miracle that is growing inside me makes it all worth it.  Hands down the most amazing feeling is being able to feel my little one kicking around inside!  The kicks are so strong and rhythmic, at times I feel like the little guy or girl is trying to communicate with me, and I love it!  Also love it when Trevor get to feel what he thinks is a HUGE kick and freaks out!  If he only knew what I feel all day, ha!  This time has been a gift from God, and I am so thankful for this ability to relax and enjoy it while living in Oxford.

Momma Wiggins is coming!

Yes, it is true!  My mom will be here this saturday to stay for my LAST week in Oxford.  I am kind of nervous about her traveling by herself, she usually has Sarah or my dad with her, but I'm confident she can make it through customs and come out the other side at Heathrow without incident!  Let's just hope she maker her connection in Newark! eeks!

weekend in the country

Last weekend Trevor and I were lucky enough to receive an invitation to stay with the Markham's (David and Caroline) at their beautiful home in Warwickshire.  They live in a converted farmhouse that is older than America!  Here are some pics of the weekend courtesy of Majeda (another OCCA student).

Sunday was a real treat.  David invited the rest of OCCA to be a part of a special service at his church and then hosted a huge lunch for us and all of their friends from church.  I think there were easily 50 - 60 people in attendance!  Such a blast, and a beautiful treat to see the gorgeous English countryside!

The Brocks are now homeowners!  We are super excited about this new acquisition and so happy that we will have somewhere to call home when we get back to Texas.  It is a lovely place, even has a yard.  We are so grown up!  Can't wait to fix up the nursery!

Super Fun Day

Trevor and I had a busy day today.   After spending an incredibly lazy saturday at the house, we decided to make a half-day trip to London to stretch our legs a bit!  We took the 1:00pm train, which was super busy (trevor had to stand) and then headed to our normal shopping/walking area around Piccadilly.  I love Fortnum & Mason and we always have to make one round of the store just to check out all the goodies and novelty items that they have... I almost talked Trevor into making a stop at The Parlor, their ice cream bar, but of course we decided to pass.  We then kept walking around New Bond Street, to check out some of the mens shops before stopping at Selfridges to do some quick window shopping!

The main reason for our trip into London was to hear one of Trevor's speakers from class, Jay Smith,  debate Christianity vs. Islam at Speaker's Corner in Hyde Park.  It was super cool to watch and the crowd (or mostly muslims) was really into it.  The idea behind Speaker's Corner is that anyone who has something to say about anything can come with their step ladder, stand on it, and say it.  Pretty interesting place to be, would recommend anyone to stop by if ever near Hyde Park.

Tiny field mouse just seen in MY kitchen!!!

Logic (and my husband) tells me that this is not strange and we have been super lucky so far to not see any until now considering where we live- super old house in england.  But my brain tells me, heck no!, get me out of this place, I must move- everything is contaminated!

Not sure who is going to win, logic or brain.  Now dreading the capture of the mouse, which I will inevitably be put in charge of, no matter what Trev says!

Hope I can sleep tonight... I have a very vivid imagination.

Mama Linda turns 50!

While we were in Texas we were able to share in the spectacular celebration that was Trevor's moms 50th "Mama Mia" theme birthday party!  We had a blast dressing up in our best '70 gear, eating some awesome food, and dancing to the best Abba cover band EVER!  Major congrats to Chaiss and Gentry who did most of the planning, they did and awesome job!
